Super easy gumpaste frangipani tutorial
2 cups castor sugar
1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder (I use callebaut). just make sure you dont use dutch processed
2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp salt
1-3/4 cups plain milk+ 2 tbsp milk
1 cup vegetable oil
1 Tablespoons vanilla extract
2 Tablespoons white vinegar
use gel color then use as per the intensity of color you like. a few drops.
Preheat oven to 180 deg
Prepare 2 , 8″ round pans
Sift and mix the dry ingredients
Whisk wet ingredients EXCEPT vinegar
Now Incorporate wet and dry ingredients in 3 successions.. use a hand held mixer. Once all together, add the vinegar. whisk to incorporate . and bake for 30-40 mins. this time depends on the oven. So do the toothpick test if you arent sure.
Cool in pans for 15 mins and then invert on a cooling rack until completely cooled
